New publication from the Precision Adult Oncology team

„Incidental germline findings during comprehensive genomic profiling of pancreatic and colorectal cancer: single-center, molecular tumor board experience“

Molecular Oncology Indication Committees (MOICs) are already established in many comprehensive cancer centres and play an important role in individual treatment planning for cancer patients. The results of the study by the authors from the Department of Internal Hematology and Oncology, Faculty of Medicine and the University Hospital Brno; and Centre for Precision Medicine of the University Hospital Brno show that comprehensive genomic profiling of tumor tissue can identify patients with hereditary cancers who might not be identified by standard screening for hereditary cancers.
