Our Department provides comprehensive care for patients with diseases of the digestive tract and liver, including specialized endoscopic procedures. Other fields of specialty at our Department are diseases of the kidneys, the endocrine system including diabetes mellitus, care of patients with disorders of the immune system and the need for nutritional support. In addition to highly specialized care, we also provide comprehensive internal care to all patients who need it.
Undergraduate as well as postgraduate students study at our Department, mostly students from the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University, medical schools in the region and the Institute for Further Education of Medical Professionals in Brno. Our Department is involved in many both, Czech and international research projects.
